What happens if I stop paying?
Our free tier is the fallback — your rig always works, forever, free. Premium features pause until you resubscribe, your files are always on your disk, and a lapse mid-session finishes the running night first.
Do I need the cloud, or even an internet connection?
No. ARIS runs on your Raspberry Pi, over your network — the app talks straight to your rig. No cloud between you and your telescope, and dark sites without connectivity are a first-class use case.
Can I try it without a telescope?
Yes. A complete practice observatory is built in — learn every screen from the couch tonight with the free simulator, then connect real hardware whenever you’re ready. Zero equipment required.
